Meet the ducks! ipduck, gasaduck, and noobduck are the 3 mascots of the ipduck guide. The 3 ducks each stand for a specific type of K-Pop fan; the newly enthusiastic, the deep lyrical analyst, and the all-knowing expert. We have all been (or met) at least one of these at some point in our stanning history. Let the ducks take you on your ipduck guide journey!
🐤 IPDUCK lives for the feeling of falling in love with your bias – that lurch in your stomach when you know that your heart will just beat different for this particular idol.
🐤 IPDUCK loves to save all the precious moments of idols when they shine the brightest and share them with friends, hoping they will fall in love with them, too.
🐤 IPDUCK believes that sharing love always makes it bigger, not less.
[ipduck; 입덕] is the Korean word for falling in love with your fave, the moment when you decide that this person is your bias.
GASADUCK
Meet GASADUCK, an imaginative theorist of K-pop
🐤 GASADUCK’s biggest passion is the story behind every art form – and K-Pop is no exception.
🐤 GASADUCK loves to connect the dots between the metaphors and lore rife in K-Pop idol lyrics.
🐤 GASADUCK strongly believes that appreciating the meaning of the lyrics is a better way to enjoy the song.
🐤 GASADUCK likes hearing all the different theories, too. After all, there is no one “right” answer in K-Pop!
[gasa; 가사] is the Korean word for “lyrics.” “-duck” is also a suffix for “being a fan of something.”
NOOBDUCK
Meet NOOBDUCK, a rigorous scholar of K-Pop
🐤 NOOBDUCK is THAT K-Pop fan – who has seen it all – from the dawn of time when First Gen debuted, or maybe before…
🐤 NOOBDUCK knows every terminology, technicality, and milestone of any significance.
🐤 NOOBDUCK sometimes dreams of producing a documentary featuring the complete history of K-Pop.
🐤 Despite their vast knowledge, NOOBDUCK is very patient and wants to help any clueless new K-Pop fans out of their (understandable) confusion.
[noob] stands for being a “newbie.”
